THREE SISTERS



January 2011 started with three K Line vessels alongside STX Europe in Brevik, Norway.

Hull No 736 «KL Barentsfjord» joined «KL Brofjord» and «KL Brisfjord» when it arrived the yard 8th of January for final outfitting.

«KL Brisfjord» was delivered from STX OSV Brevik to K Line Offshore AS 13th of January. She is now heading for Stavanger.
 

STRONGEST AHTS IN THE WORLD

The vessel «KL Sandefjord» was officially delivered to K Line Offshore on the 7th of January 2011, and this delivery represents an important milestone for OSM.

The sea trial of «KL Sandefjord» was successfully completed the 10th of December 2010. No AHTS has ever had a better result in a bollard pull test. The result of 390 T bollard pull proves this vessel to be the strongest AHTS in the world as per today. This bollard pull is making them very well suited for anchor handling jobs in ultra deep waters and trenching operations.

«KL Sandefjord» is the first of two AHTS vessels of AH 12 CD design. She is a state of the art vessel with her enormous bollard pull, fitted with an ROV hangar and ODIM LARS system for handling of inspection- and work-class ROVs used in underwater operations.

OSM has been entrusted the building supervision for all K Line Offshore AS new build vessels, two AHTS and four PSV. OSM will have full management of the same vessels. In addition, the PSV «KL Arendalfjord» is already with full OSM management.

 

«KL BARENTSFJORD» TOWED FROM ROMANIA

 

HN 736 «KL Barentsfjord» was towed from STX Braila yard in Romania today, destined for Brevik in Norway for final outfitting. Completion date is set to be july 2011.

The vessel is an Aker PSV 06 CD. The owner of the vessel is K Line Offshore AS.

OSM is entrusted the building supervision for all K Line Offshore AS new build vessels, four PSV and two AHTS. OSM will have full management of the same vessels after delivery.

 

LPG/C «LADY BARBARA» UNDER OSM MANAGEMENT

The LPG carrier, «Lady Barbara», is the latest to join OSM Singapore management. The vessel is 3.953 DWT and is now owned by Pertamina Tongkang, a subsidiary of Pertamina Persero.

The vessel is currently in the process of changing flag from Singapore to Indonesia and her port of registry will be Jakarta. She will be named «Gas Patra» at a later stage.

She was taken over on the 19th of November and shall be put to work in the Indonesian coastal trade.
 The vessel will be fully Indonesian manned.

 

"CAMAR SAKTI" TAKEN OVER


OSMSIN has been entrusted another product tanker owned by PT Pertamina Tongkang

The vessel was built in 1998, is 3.502 DWT, and she was recently taken over in Indonesia.
 

NEW AGREEMENT IN INDONESIA

OSMSIN now manage the product tanker "Camarmas"

The vessel is 3.502 DWT, is in Indonesian coastal trade and owned by PT Pertamina Tongkang, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero). The vessel was taken over at the port of Pontianak, Indonesia.
 

FRAME AGREEMENT WITH ACERGY

OSM has signed an agreement with Acergy. Acergy is a seabed-to-surface engineering and construction contractor to the offshore oil and gas industry worldwide.

The agreement was signed at Acergys offices in Aberdeen the 22nd October. According to the agreement OSM Crew Management will be the preferred Marine Manning company.

- We are proud that Acergy give us this confidence. Acergy is one of the world's largest companies in their field in offshore, says Managing Director Bjørn Simonsen, OSM Crew Management.

The agreement is a frame agreement covering the Marine Manning of Acergy vessels. They will be led from OSM Aberdeen by General Manager Tom Findlay.

«Acergy Havila» is the first vessel to be manned. «Acergy Havila» is a state-of-the-art Diving Support Vessel (DSV) specifically designed for efficient diving operations in the harshest environments.

This new vessel is 120m in length with a 23m beam, and will be fitted with a 250T crane. «Acergy Havila» has high transit speed, an ice class hull, Class 3 Dynamic Positioning and is in compliance with the most demanding maritime and environmental regulations worldwide.

 

Fourth chemical oil tanker from Konig & Cie

OSM Ship Management GmbH now manage four chemical oil tankers from Konig & Cie in Hamburg. The fourth vessel, «King Everest», was taken into our management at Malta the 16th of october. The vessel was built in 2001 and is 37.230 DWT. The tanker will be operating mainly in Europe.

 

NEW VESSEL FROM GENMAR

Yet another Genmar tanker has joined the OSM fleet. Newbuilt Suezmax «Genmar Maniate» (164.925 DWT) was delivered on 7th October from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in South Korea, proceeding to Singapore for final up storing.

Her first laden voyage will be carrying a cargo of gasoil from Port of Sikka in India for Rotterdam, Netherlands.

«Genmar Maniate» is part of an extensive cooperation between leading US tanker Owner Genmar and OSM, seeing a number of Genmar VLCC’s and other tankers now being operated under OSM management.

 

New customer to OSM Offshore AS


OSM Offshore AS has recently signed a crew management contract with Edda Accommodation AS for the offshore accommodation vessel Edda Fiedes.  Edda Accommodation AS is part of the Østensjø Group and located in Haugesund at the west coast of Norway.

The accommodation vessel «Edda Fiedes» is being built at the Astillero HJ Barreras in Vigo, Western Spain and our agreement will commence from 1st April 2011.

«Edda Fiedes» is 130 meters long and  27 meters wide. She is a unique accommodation and service vessel for a total of 600 people and a flexible capacity up to 1000 beds.

«Edda Fiedes» is a DP3 vessel equipped with a telescopic gangway on a 1.400 square meter deck and a 5 Voith Schneider propulsion systems.
Recreation areas such as exercise room, sauna, swimming pool and cinema accompany the high standard cabins onboard.
