OSM New Build Management has managed the new build supervision contract for two nos M 300-4 class Lift boat since December 2014.

OSM New Build Management has managed the new build supervision contract for two nos M 300-4 class Lift boat since December 2014.  

 

The vessel ing built for Houston based company, Falcon Gobal LLC, and is under construction in the Triyards Group facility, located in Hoh Chi Minh City Vietnam.

 

Designed to achieve full speed of approximately 6 knots, the 300-4 lift boat shall feature a diesel electric propulsion system with four identical diesel generators providing electrical power and two electric motor driven azimuth propellers for primary propulsion. Two electric motor driven bow thrusters shall augment the propellers to provide DP-2 maneuvering capability.

The lift boat could elevate at 4 to 6 feet per minute and lower the legs at 14-18 feet per minute. The boats are to be built and outfitted in a roofed workshop where steel works including Jacking Tower and Spud can be completed. Upon the completion of the vessels steel work, the boats will be skidded and loaded out to a floating dock to continue Leg erection.

 

Upon completion of testing and commissioning of the systems in the Triyards, the boats will sail to a third party yard for Top leg section erection and jacking trials. Sea trials will be performed at VungTau, where the owners will take the final delivery .

 

The two liftboats are scheduled to be delivered - Q2 , 2016.
