The Farstad-OSM Medical Mission (OSM) was completed last September 14, 2014 for the communities of Barangay Caibaan 95 and 95-A, Tacloban City, Leyte with the full support of local medical practitioners and community volunteers.
Approximately 1,000 patients were provided with free medical consultations and medicine. OSM also set up an area for fun games and activities for the children while they waited for their turn to be examined by the medical doctors.
The success of this mission was made possible by the amazing support of the Leyte Medical Society, the local organization of medical practitioners in the province of Leyte, and also by the community officers coming from both Barangay Caibaan 95 & 95-A.
Shortly after completing the mission, OSM featured a short program to offer our formal appreciation for the contribution and efforts rendered by the medical practitioners and representatives of community volunteers.
OSM Crew Managements Business Process Engineer, Martin Larsen offered closing remarks for the medical mission: “We are truly grateful for the worthwhile contribution made on behalf of Farstad that made this mission such a success. We look forward to further developing our relationship with Farstad in both the maritime industry and working together towards elevating our social responsibility initiatives. We would also like to extend thanks to everyone who contributed to the mission, especially all of our volunteers without whom this event would not have been possible.”
