OSM New Build Management, is on its way to becoming a top provider for Rig Construction services, continuing its success in Indonesia with the announcement that the Jack Up Drilling Rig, the G-8001 has been launched.

OSM New Build Management, is on its way to becoming a top provider for Rig Construction services, continuing its success in Indonesia with the announcement that the Jack Up Drilling Rig, the G-8001 has been launched.   

 

The G-8001 was built at the Pax Ocean Graha shipyard, in Batam Indonesia.  Built as a three legged cantilever type Jack up drilling rig (rig type of Gusto MSC CJ 46-X 100-D), the G-8001 basically consists of an almost triangular shaped hull, three open truss legs three rack and pinion type elevating system and three fixation system.

 

The vessel is equipped with accommodation for 120 persons, a helicopter deck suitable for the use of an S 61N helicopter, and a retractable cantilever carrying the drilling derrick.

 

The vessel together with Hull no. L 209, is owned by Beijing Petrolor Oil field services Co.ltd and is classed under ABS.
