OSM is proud to announce the sea trial completion of Platform Supply Vessel, the VARD Vung Tau Yard 808.
The vessel was built at VARD Vung Tau Shipyard Facilities in Vietnam and was designed in accordance with the environmentally friendly DNV clean class vessel requirements, including a focus on low fuel consumption and precautions.
The vessels hull, machinery and equipment have been constructed according to Det Norske Veritas( DNV) with Oil recovery, firefighting and stand by Vessel, ICE class -C notations. Propulsion is performed using two main Azimuth propellers, with fixed pitch aft and three tunnel thrusters with controllable pitch forward.
OSM was actively involved during the first few months of this project to fine tune the technical specifications and other production issues. OSM's dedicated New Build team have also been heavily involved in helping the yard in the final two months of the project by attending the commissioning, sea trials and the final delivery of the vessel.
