OSM increases presence in the Asian Market
OSM welcomes new employee Shichiro Nakakuki to the team.

Mr Shichiro Nakakuki, OSMs new representative for Japan prepares to drive OSM’s local presence forward.  The target: build strong and meaningful relationships with 5 major Japanese clients within the next 3 years.


“I will be working to raise OSMs profile through strategic networking and marketing,” says Nakakuki who is currently planning a networking tour of Tokyo and its surrounding provinces to visit with potential customers.


“We will also be partnering up with other prominent shipping industry players such as Hull Insurance, and P&I Club, to host some exciting events and seminars.”


Prior to joining OSM, Nakakuki has held key positions within shipping and other industries. He started his career with ship management company, “Escobal Japan Ltd” in Chiba, Japan under the group of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd Japan. Having started his career as a crew manager, Nakakuki eventually moved into various positions within vessel technical management, and from 2009 to 2015 he held the position of Managing Director. Nakakuki has also business experience from other major companies such as the Mitsubishi Corporation, major trading house Sumitomo Corporation in Tokyo and Noble Chartering HK.


Nakakuki graduated from Keio University in Tokyo, one of the oldest and most prominent universities in Japan, established in 1858 by historical hero, Mr Yukichi Fukuzawa, where his major was Political Science with a Bachelor of Laws.
