OSM Rowan Building Supervision Project is now completed.

OSM Rowan Building Supervision Project is now completed.

The «Rowan Norway» deep water jack-up rig, scheduled for use on the company’s Bentley field, has now been delivered by the Keppel FELS shipyard in Singapore to Rowan Companies, Inc. With this delivery OSM building supervision project for Rowan has been completed.

The rig will now be transported to Dundee using the OHT Hawk heavy lift vessel, where it will undergo final testing and will be crewed and equipped for its deployment onto the Bentley field. In total three Keppel Fels N-Class Drilling and Production jack-ups have now been delivered to Rowan from Keppel Fels with OSM being responsible for drawing approvals and building supervision.

- This has been an interesting and important project for OSM Offshore AS starting already in January 2007 with contract and specification reviews. These rigs are large complex harsh environment jack-ups designed for both drilling and production activities. All rigs are designed for operation on Norwegian Continental Shelf and to comply with Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) rules and regulations. I would use this opportunity to thank the entire OSM project team including the OSM Singapore staff for their work related to this project.

The competence and experience of the project team has contributed to successful execution of this large project, says Director Projects Eivind Nordal from OSM Offshore AS.
