This year, once again, 25 June marks the annual Day of the Seafarer (DotS). DotS was established in a resolution adopted by the 2010 Diplomatic Conference in Manila to adopt the revised STCW Convention. Its stated purpose is to recognize the unique contribution made by seafarers from all over the world to international seaborne trade, the world economy and civil society as a whole.
This year our global onshore teams are sending our thanks in from across the globe #SeafarersMatterAtOSM
Seafarers truly are the beating heart of the shipping industry. On this International Day of the Seafarer, we would like to take the opportunity to applaud and give recognition to the great contribution of seafarers to the global economy and society. We wish to send our deepest thanks from across our global onshore teams to our global offshore teams. Thanking you for all that you do and all of the sacrifices you make to help make the shipping industry as important and successful as it is. Truly it's all about people.
We will be sharing more pictures from our teams throughout the week, check out our Facebook Page if you haven't already to stay up to date with more fun content.
